General Appeal

Dear,

I am writing to express my concern about the ongoing human rights situation inside Tibet (which under international law remains an independent nation under illegal occupation), and East Turkestan. As the world is aware, Communist China's record in those countries is appalling and amounts to virtual cultural genocide against the Tibetan and Uyghur people. I understand that our government along with the European Union has taken some steps to press human rights matters with Communist China but I fear that much more can and should be done. In that context I respectfully ask that you table a question for the attention of the Secretary of State, specifically asking him to provide hard evidence of any real changes in either human rights or political freedom for the Tibetan people which has sprung from US/Britain's policy towards Communist China.

I look forward to your response.
